2008 Educare Walk!

Educare Foundation's objective is to help the education of poor and deserving children in India. Since 1994 thousands of children in India have benefited from Educare.

Educare’s Programs

• We continue to concentrate on the education of the poor in India.
• We continue to add more schools and more students to the scholarship program whereby we award cash funds to students to help to pay for school fees, uniforms, books, school materials, clocks, bicycles etc. Students are selected by a committee of at least three persons formed at the school and approved by Educare Foundation. The basis for selection includes poor, intelligent, handicapped, no-father, orphan etc.
• Our infrastructure program for needy schools has been a great success. Funds have been provided to purchase durries/rugs, desks and benches, furniture, and blackboards for the classrooms. We have also provided computers, printers, and playground equipment for the students as well as sound systems for student assemblies, copy machines, and installation of a new electrical system. We are also providing financial assistance in the construction of a new building for a school for deaf and mute children. These items will continue to help the entire student population for years to come.
• Provide funds to orphanage for education of orphan children.
• Provide funds to school for deaf and mute for poor children for hiring qualified staff.
• Provide personal and spiritual satisfaction to large donors by having them sponsor a specific school of their choice.

Almost 59 million children in India under the age of 14 years including 35 million girls were not attending school. Report on the state of children in India prepared as a follow-up to the World Summit for children 2000.

Educare foundation is a non-religious, non-profit tax-exempt organization registered in the state of New Jersey, USA. Educare Foundation continues to be managed and operated by all volunteers. Our overheads are so low that more than 90% of donations are used for the programs. We select schools without consideration to location, affiliation, boys/girls etc.

Special events in our lives should be accompanied by good deeds.
