EduCare Essay Competition 

EduCare Foundation is conducting an essay contest for juniors and seniors from High Schools in New Jersey with an intension to instill a culture of compassion and giving among our youth.
Three total prizes: First prize of $1000, Second prize of $500, and Third Prize of $250.
Topic: Making this world a better place. How would you make this world a better place by helping the needy? You may provide examples of good deeds of compassion that you have done.
Length of Essay: 1000 - 1500 words (2 - 3 pages)
Format of Essay: Microsoft Word in Arial font size12
Eligibility: High school juniors and seniors (class of 2015 and 2016)
Deadline: Essays are to be submitted by e-mail to EduCare Vice President, Dr. Ari Jain at by February 16, 2015.
Please include your School Name and Address, Grade, and Sponsoring Principal or Teacher Contact Information in the email.
Each student may submit only one essay. After submission online, a hard copy of the essay certified by a class teacher or principal must be mailed to Dr. Ari Jain at the EduCare Foundation address - 69 Lawrence Drive, Short Hills, NJ 07078.
The plagiarism in any form disqualifies contestants. The compensated essays or previously award writing essays are not eligible.
Judging: Three winning essays will be selected on the basis of the following 5 criterion: 1) Clarity 2) Organization 3) Clear vision/plan of how to make a better world 4) Practicality of the vision/plan and 5) Personal contribution to implementing the vision/plan.
The decision of the judges would be final.
Prizes will be awarded at an EduCare Event. Winners may have an opportunity to read their essays at that event.
