Educating the Children of Mumbai Terror Attacks Victims
Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust, Mumbai, has pioneered the continuation of education of poor children of the victims of Mumbai terror attacks by supporting their families until the children graduate from school. So far over the 4 terror events (2003, 2006, highly publicized 2008 & 2011), 285 poor children have been supported.

EduCare is pleased to honor Drs. Shantilal and Chandrakanta Lunia with outstanding Compassion award for their philanthropic contribution towards education of Deaf and Mute children. The Lunia family in past ten years has contributed more than quarter million dollars for the operating expenses as well as construction of two new buildings.

Saksham Vidyalaya (www.sakshamkids.org) is an informal school with enrollment of about 350 children in Nithari village near Delhi. It is operated by a non-profit, non-religious, charitable trust (NGO). The school timings have been chosen to enable them to attend the regular school also.
